I’m Still Here… Battling the Distractions of Life... Trying to Stay Focused on the LordI hope you all are doing well. I’ve been pretty busy along with Bee. A
lot of things have been going on and I’ve been feeling very preoccupied
lately and would really like to get back to writing again. I miss it.
So I haven’t been dallying around…We’re still finishing out all the outside construction work that has
been lingering since earlier this year but thankfully we are very close
to finishing now. Just one more item left!!!In the last week, I just started a brand new job and had been working
on bringing that to pass through the summer since my original contract
work had finished out in May. I’ll probably be traveling soon in
conjunction with that.I have also been helping our church find a new worship pastor since
June and praise the LORD, we have been successful. He and his family
are coming to stay with us temporarily for a few weeks until they can
find permanent housing in the area. I have to agree with Bee. I enjoy
helping folks with hospitality although I hardly have a speck of
gifting in that area. So we are fixing up the guest house, even as we
speak, to receive them. Also, in the last few weeks, my son, John, came back from college to
live with us for a little while during the first couple of weeks this
month. We have been occupied with preparing and executing a move for
him. Just a few weeks before that he had landed a great job back here
where we live. What timing! We’ll get to move him again as soon as he’s
build up enough reserve to find himself a new apartment here locally.
The Lord is good!We need to get really high speed internet here but we are a bit out of
the way and one fellow is willing to work with us but doesn’t do the
antenna installation for the wireless service. Sigh. So I guess I’m
going to do that here soon. Bee is fretting about all the work to be
done up on the roof. I must confess that I don’t particularly like it
either. We have also been looking into the “Truth Project” this summer and are
preparing to work with this in our church in the next month or two. If
you’ve never went through that material and you have any inclination
about understanding the differences between how the world thinks and
what God has said about it, you need to see this… perhaps more than
once. There’s a lot there but it is well done.I’m also starting a home Bible study next week on God’s Character.
Please pray that this goes well. I have already started praying for
those who will be coming. This has been a big thing in my life and even
through all the hubbub this year, I have learned a lot about trusting
in His character. All the things that I used to worry a lot about, and
sometimes still do, has shown each time He comes through every time
just exactly how He tells us He is like in the Bible. So, once again,
the “teacher” gets to really experience what he’s been teaching. Yes,
the LORD is good. That’s a quite a few distractions, isn’t it? Yet that isn’t all!
Add to all that the craziness going on right now in the election stuff
(unbelievable what people will convince themselves is true with a man
of no substance and a running mate even worse) and I’m praying that the
party of the reprobates not only loses but does so in a big way… The
reprobate party? That’s the one that doesn’t mind killing babies,
promoting corruption in government and business but saying otherwise,
promoting lifestyles and partners quite against what God has said it is
supposed to be, taking away the rights of those who are good, honest
citizens. They are the ones who desire to manipulate the petroleum
market to force the lie of Global Warming and false concern for the
environment down the throats of the citizens, and taking away the
earnings of hard working Americans on the lie that more taxes will help
things out in our nation and our schools (and have done just the
opposite)… and then cry out its Bush’s fault to distract the nation
from their own despicable conduct. And there’s more… the list goes on
and on. Our country has tried all that for years now and it hasn’t
worked. Why do I call it the “reprobate party”? That’s because while
most of them like their donkey symbol, there are a few others that
really go along with them but have taken on a different name. Throw
out all of the bums of the “reprobate party” in November! Don’t just
stop with the presidential ticket! Go for the rest of them! Clean out
all the real bozo’s. And take every opportunity to reduce the ratings
(and thereby cut their revenue) for the media outlets who are in the
tank with these folks and espouse the same. We just don’t need that
baloney any more. Now we have the Russians on the prowl and wanting to begin their
conquests again, feeling their oats being flush with petroleum money
from Central Asia. Make no mistake. They have threatened Europe with
the Georgian invasion. The first thing is to control the pipeline or be
within minutes of doing so. Why shouldn’t they expect their neighboring
countries like the Ukraine and Poland to get a little nervous and want
US missile installations on their soil? They say they aren’t afraid of
a Cold War. Nice, predictable, Russian hubris. Dangerous to be sure but
there are other dangers in this world that are even worse than them or
what they can do. Being allied to the Islamofascists is very risky
business and they’ve been around a lot longer than the Russians and
they don’t care about dying. One might wonder if they can really handle
true “religious opium” in their own midst.I am so glad that the LORD knows about all these plans and is waiting for
the right time to make an end to it. It looks like so many of the
correct pieces are falling into place to create the final showdown
between Babylon, the Beast, and the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We
have to wait to see if they ALL fall into place. Blessings, Mr.Vee
